So, here we are. Almost 26 years after my first blog on LiveJournal, and over 20 years since I started blogging on WordPress on DLTQ.org, I am here. On my new domain name: str.is.
This is not a blog in the proper sense, but it will expand over time. It will be my little corner in the universe. And we will see where I take it later on. But today is January 1, 2026. I am here, and I am ready to go.
Ok. So, since late November 2022 I have used generative AI a lot. Almost never to write emails (that is such a dumb way to use GenAI in my opinion), but I have used it to brainstorm. In late 2024 I realized that AI agents was going to become pretty big, so I started to look into that field, and in March 2025 Manus.im launched. I started using it as soon as I got access in early April. Now I have turned more to Claude Code, and I will use n8n as well. I actually held a presentation in Brussels in November 2025 for an audience from all over Europe, but that was about local AI/edge AI.
I am working on becoming less dependant on large tech companies. Which means that my Google account will go away at some point, and I will also get rid of LinkedIn, most likely. Well, for some things you are almost required to be a part of some things, even if I personally loathe it. I hate M$ these days, sorry to say. The business ethics of that company is on par with Meta (I left FB/Instagram in August 2025).
Now. This space. This journal. I don't know what to do with it yet, but it will be my outpouring, and I hope also my space to talk about things that matter to me. Happy new year! //R
